My new favorite milkshake!

Right now I have a HUGE amount of soymilk to use up. Luckily, I have hit upon a most delicious way of making sure the plethora of milk won't go to waste! Here is my recipe:

Chocolate banana peanut butter milkshake!

2C milk
1 1/2-2 frozen bananas
1Tbsp cocoa powder
1Tbsp peanut butter

Blend on high until smooth and creamy. This milkshake has an awesome texture! Best of all, it's actually pretty good for you, and it's definitely frugal! I made this for dinner yesterday AND today. This recipe can easily be doubled, or halved. Yet another reason I am so glad I bought my wonderful vitamix...:P

Wow! That sounds heavenly! There's not a whole lot of chocolate, so it seems healthful, too.

That sounds so yummy! Two quick questions:

1) How do you prepare your bananas for the freezer? I assume you peel them first, but do you smoosh them? What kind of container do you use?

2) What kind of cocoa powder do you use, sweetened or unsweetened? I mean, something like Nesquik or something like Hershey's?

I don't have a Vitamix (though I am coveting one). Right now it's out of my price range. But I think I could use my regular blender for this.

Thanks for the great ideas!

I just keep the peeled bananas in a big ziplock bag!
I just use unsweetened cocoa powder...Like what you would use for baking.
A regular blender would definitely work!

I've been making these about once a week since I first found your recipe. Gotta say, they are delicious! :-)
